PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: 5/25/23

Boss Club is owned and operated by Business Box, LLC. Boss Club holds the privacy and security of our site’s visitors, Licensees, and Students as one of our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy explains the services accessed, what information is gathered, and what happens with that information.

Boss Club is a curriculum provider which is delivered through a learning management system (LMS). Licensees can access Boss Club through purchasing the curriculum and being granted access through our onboarding process. Students and Licensees can access Boss Club through our online portal. Teachers provide Boss Club with basic information allowing for students to receive optional access to the course.

This Privacy Policy describes Boss Club’s privacy practices in relation to information that we collect through the website bossclub.com operated by us, made available by us for use on or through computers and/or mobile devices that link to this Privacy Policy.

What Information is Collected?

Visitors: IP Addresses, Operating System, Browser Type, and Referring URLs are tracked with our website logs. This information is collected for security purposes and is in no way used to detect the user’s identification.

Licensees: Licensees (usually a school/district/teacher) are required to provide email, first name, last name, city, state, and organization (school/site name). This information is necessary so that we may: 1) send emails for Teacher regarding set up instructions, 2) reply to any questions, 3) send information about new products, updates, etc, and/or 4) send information about other support matters. We do not sell or share any of this information to outside companies for any reason.

Students: Students gain access to secure application servers using a password protected ID provided to them by their Licensee (teacher). We collect information about each Student’s session such as content visited, time on task, and progress through the curriculum. This information is collected and organized to help the Licensee make observations to improve the learning process. To that end, the Licensee may optionally provide Boss Club with student names. These procedures and technologies are to improve the Student learning process and are in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We use student email addresses as their login to our system but Licensees can opt to provide fictitious email addresses to use as their logins for added privacy.

Additional Information: Licensee and Student data is the only information gathered. Once a license expires, this data is archived on Boss Club’s licensed servers in the event the Licensee renews their license in the future and wants access to the stored data. If the Licensee or school/site desires this information to be permanently deleted, the Licensee can email support@bossclub.com and request all data be deleted.

Under age 13: Boss Club requires schools, districts, and/or Licensees (teachers/instructors) (on behalf of the parents or legal guardians of Students under the age of 13) to provide consent for the online collection of personal information of the Student under the age of 13. In order to use Boss Club, Students must gain access credentials provided to them by their teacher (Licensee).

Boss Club collects limited personal information from minor Students only where that Student’s school, district, and/or Licensee has contracted with Boss Club to collect personal information for the use and benefit of the learning environment. This information is not shared outside of the school/district or with any third parties except those needed for the provision of the service as outlined in this policy. Students of any age cannot share their profiles publicly outside of their classroom or school.

Boss Club collects this limited personal information in order to create logins for students to access the curriculum.  Licensees may opt to provide fictitious names and email addresses for added privacy.

Licensees and Students can record audio and/or video recordings and upload/attach these recordings to the Boss Club platform. None of this information is shared with any third parties without proper consent.

Licensees accessing Boss Club on behalf of a School or District must ensure parents or legal guardians have access to this privacy policy.
